On the 6th June 2025, JICA representatives visited Mbita station, particularly the Grassroots project, and saw the progress of the project.

JICA-NUITM was happy to welcome Mr.Shinkawa Makoto-Chief Representative, Kaneko Nae-JICA Representative, and Elijah Kinyangi-JICA Representative

The visit was productive as the JICA team was able to have a feel of both the field and the Office activities.

Ms. Shiho Hara was able to explain the project progress from the onset to date, highlighting its achievements, Challenges, and recommendations.

The team had an interactive session with the grassroots staff and were able to ask questions and get clarifications about the project.

The team visited Kanyadoto ward, North Kabura CU, Ndhiwa Sub-County to see a severe case.

This case was of interest because treatment and actions have been done by the CHPs but still no improvements can be seen.

We had an interactive moment with the Community Health Assistant. Ms Aska Awuor, the Community Health Promoters, and the Family.

This visit saw more opportunities to explore how to help improve the living environment of the old man.
