It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of Professor Mohamed Karama of the Nagasaki University Institute of Tropical Medicine – Kenya Research Station (NUITM-KEMRI Project).Professor Karama passed away peacefully at his residence in Nairobi on July 30, 2025. Throughout his distinguished career, Professor Karama made significant contributions to the fields of public health and epidemiology. He also played a central role in promoting academic collaboration between Japan and Kenya. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched.
