Promotion of International Joint Research

To construct an international science and technology community that makes use of the leadership of Japan, and to strengthen and create cooperative relationships between Japan and the Asian and African countries and regions at the governmental level, through implementation of synergistic international joint research with Asian and African countries and regions while bringing out the high research potential of Japan, as a part of a coordinated effort to strengthen science and technology diplomacy .
