Japan sends two more specialists

MORE EXPERTISE ... Japanese Medical sxpert Prof Dr Akira Igarashi (left) and his collegue identified as only Dr Morita arrived at the KLIA, Sepang, yesterday evening to join in the effort to overcome the viral encephalitis epidemic which has killed 95 people to date.
They are from the Nagasaki University and their trip to Malaysia is sponsored by the Japanese International Co-operation Agency (Jica).
Dr Igarashi is scheduled to be in Malaysia until Wednesday and Dr Morita until next Thursday. Their focus will be more on the Japanese Encephalitis (JE).
Since end of March, medical and veterinary experts from the Atlanta-based Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a team from Australia and Japanese expert have been helping their Malaysian counterparts in the search for more answers to the viral epidemic.
