Procyclic trypomastigote of Trypanosoma brucei brucei were the insect-stage parasites. The nucleus, kinetoplast and other granular structures were hardly stained with Giemsa’s staining solution. A flagellum was extended from basal body near by kinetoplast and undulating membrane was on the side of the cell body. This protozoan parasite causes animal trypanosomiasis (nagana) but is not pathogenic to humans. Bar indicated as 20 μm.
