Promastigotes of Leishmania, the extracellular insect-stage parasites were grown axenically in medium M199 supplemented with FBS at 25ºC. The promastigotes were applied on glass slide, fixed, and stained with Giemsa’s solution. The cell body was slender shape. A nucleus was indicated in the center of it. A kinetoplast is between nucleus and anterior end of cell body. A flagellum was extended from basal body near by kinetoplast. There was no undulating membrane. Bar indicated as 20 μm.
