In vitro cultured trophozoites of G. intestinalis were stained with Giemsa’s solution. The trophozoites were bilaterally symmetrical with a flattened pear-like shape. The two nuclei were stained heavily. In the center of trophozoite, there was median body that was stained in a wedge shape. The eight flagella were organized as four pairs: the anterior, the caudal, the posteriolateral and the ventral flagella. Giardia lamblia is a synonym. Bar indicated as 10 μm.
