6th-year Medical student of NU finished the Elective Clinical Training at Kenyatta National Hospital

On 27th May 2022, 6th-year Medical students of Nagasaki University (NU) completed the Elective Clinical Traning at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) successfully. The training period was from 11th April and two Medical students rotated several departments including Respiratory diseases, HIV/AIDS Unit, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Emergency unit for a total of 7 weeks. Last day of their training, the students had a courtesy call for the officer in Research Department, Dr. Kinuthia who treated this agreement between KNH and NU. Then, the students presented their experiences and learnings with special appreciation. For Kenya, this Elective Clinical Training was the first time although the school of medicine is conducting this training over the world. Thus, two to three medical students will travel to Kenya and elective clinical training will continue next fiscal year.
