    Known Issues

    1. RealProducer Returns 'Unknown Server' Error When Connecting to RealServer 5.0: Live encoding with RealProducer G2 is only compatible with RealServer G2. Check the RealServer that you are using and ensure that it is a G2 version of the RealServer.
    2. RealPlayer Returns 'File Not Found' Error When Connecting to RealServer 5.0: Only SureStream files created with Player Compatibility set to 'RealPlayer 5.0 or later' are compatible with RealServer 5.0. In most cases, both SureStream files created with Player Compatibility set to 'RealPlayer G2' and Single Rate files created with RealProducer G2 will not be compatible with RealServer 5.0. To ensure full compatibility with both RealPlayer 5.0 and RealServer 5.0, check that you have 'SureStream' selected as your File Type and that Player Compatibility is set to 'RealPlayer 5.0 or later' in your SureStream Preferences.
    3. Uncompressed SGI Quicktime Movies Cannot Be Encoded: uncompressed QuickTime movies created on SGI machines and exported to windows format cannot be encoded and the RealProducer will report that file format is not supported.
    4. When Using Command Line Tools DOS Prompt Does Not Allow Enough Characters to Support All Parameters: This is a known limitation with Windows 95. An easy solution is to place commands into batch file and excute the appropriate command line utilities from there.
    5. The Audio Meter Does Not Show Any Levels Until The Start Button Is Pressed: this is a known issue with this release. A possible workaround to this is to open the Recording Control Panel and set input recording levels there.
    6. Files Created With The Mobile Download Option Enabled Do Not Playback On Audible Players: To enable playback on the Audible Player you must select the 6.5K Voice Codec in the Target Audiences Dialog.
    7. Video Appears Too Bright or Washed Out Using an Osprey 100 Video Capture Card: this is a known issue with the older Osprey 100 drivers. Upgrade Osprey 100 drivers to version 1.12 or above.
    8. Video Capture Halts and Locks Up RealProducer When Recording From a Media Device Using an Intel SVR III Video Capture Card: this is a known issue with the older Intel SVR III drivers. Upgrade your existing Intel SVR III driver to version 1.4 or above.
    9. When Encoding From a Network Drive, Losing Network Connection Causes RealProducer G2 to Hang: this is a known issue with this release. RealProducer G2 may not close properly if the source file is on a remote computer and the network connection is severed.
    10. Audio Level Drops When Encoding File Created With Digital Video Producer 4.0: this is a known issue with clips created with Digital Video Producer 4.0 that contain compressed video. A possible workaround is to use Digital Video Producer 5.0 for creating input clips as this problem does not occur however when encoding clips created with Digital Video Producer 5.0.
    11. RealProducer Crashes When Unable To Connect To Connectix QuickCam: this is a known issue with this release and the Connectix QuickCam. To avoid this problem ensure that your QuickCam is properly connected to your computer's external port before using RealProducer G2.
    12. Problem Installing RealPlayer When RealProducer Is Open: this is a known issue with this release. To avoid this problem, close RealProducer and proceed with the installation of RealPlayer.
    13. Image Maps/HotSpots Do Not Function When Pasting Together Two Or More SureStream Files RMEditor: this is a known issue with this release of the RMEditor commandline utility. A possible workaround is to follow the steps list below:
    14. Unable To Paste Audio And Video Streams Together With RMEditor: The RMEditor commandline utility no longer supports the ability to strip or paste individual audio or video streams in or out of RealMedia Files. The preferred method for combining multimedia files together into a single presentation is to use a SMIL presentation file (.smi).
    15. RealPlayer Does Not Play The Last Event Embedded Within RealMedia Files: this is a known issue with version 6.0.6 of RealPlayer G2. A possible workaround is to create a dummy Title/Author/Copyright event that mimics the existing Title/Author/Copyright Information for the clip. This places a final event in the clip that will not negatively affect the presentation.
    16. RealProducer Stops Encoding and Locks Up Machine When Encoding Audio From SoundBlaster Live, Turtle Beach Montego and Yamaha DS-XG Sound Cards: this is a known issue with this release. Please contact Technical Support to see if there are any updates on this issue
