Cooperation between Universities and Private Enterprises: From Global Health to African Development.
企画内容：
アカデミアの代表として、長崎大学では、グローバルヘルスや感染症アウトブレイクなどの地球規模課題解決に向けた研究をアフリカにおいて進めてきた。その中で、研究から実地へという観点からアフリカでの民間企業との共同プロジェクトの展開を推し進めている。今後、アフリカにおける健康問題の解決、さらにはアフリカ開発の推進を考えた際、すでに長年アフリカで活動を続けているアカデミアと民間企業が一体となり、協力することで新しい展開や市場が生まれる可能性がある。本サイドイベントにおいては、アフリカ開発を目指したアカデミアと民間企業の新たな連携について検討することを目的とする。
Concept:
As a representative of academia in Japan, Nagasaki University has been conducting research for global health and infectious diseases in Africa. Recently, we are promoting the development of joint projects with Japanese private companies in Africa from the viewpoint practicality from research. When considering the solution of health problems in Africa and further promotion of African development, Academia, which has already been active in Africa, and a private company that is considering entering a new business together may establish a new development and this can lead Africa for further development. By this side-event, we are going to share information and seek for a new collaboration between academia and private companies aiming at African development.
