http://www.tropmedhealth.biomedcentral.com/

The Japanese Society of Tropical Medicine (JSTM) is pleased to announce that BioMed Central is the new publisher of Tropical Medicine and Health (TMH). To submit your manuscript via the new submission system, please click here.

Please be noticed that the manuscript should be prepared to follow the new instruction for authors.

TMH will continue as an open access publication as part of BioMed Central’s high-quality portfolio of open access journals. The transition to BioMed Central’s platform is currently underway, and will be completed in January 2016.

All new submissions should conform to both TMH and BioMed Central’s editorial policies. An article-processing charge (APC) is levied to cover the cost of the publication process, including peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows immediate access to the full text versions of the articles. The standard APC for TMH is £705/$1105/€900 for each article accepted for publication. JSTM offers a €450 APC discount for JSTM members (Regular, Postdoctoral and Student membership holders) and a €198 discount for non-members and overseas membership holders per accepted article up until the end of 2018. To obtain the APC discount, please contact the JSTM office (jstmsecr@tm.nagasaki-u.ac.jp) for an account code to be used during the submission process.

A waiver is provided for authors from low-income countries. For further information about BioMed Central’s APCs and related policies, including waivers for authors from the low-income countries listed here, please visit BioMed Central’s website. If you have any questions about what this means for your submission, please contact the TMH editorial office at tropmedhealth@biomedcentral.com.

Finally, we would like to convey our cordial request to all of you for your continued support of TMH.

Best wishes,

Shigeyuki Kano, President, Japanese Society of Tropical Medicine
Masahiro Hashizume, Editor-in-Chief, Tropical Medicine and Health
