Assistant Professors Shinya Miyazaki and Yukiko Miyazaki at the Institute have developed a new genetically modified reporter malaria parasite that facilitates malaria drug discovery. The manuscript is published in Communications Biology. We hope that the genetically modified reporter line will be used to develop new anti-malarial drugs that target multiple stages of the parasites.
