On Saturday, July 2, 2022, Nagasaki University held an online meeting for the people in Japan, in collaboration with NGO PLAS , Tokyo Center of the Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) / Kyushu Center of the Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) and Japan Habitat Association.

The three organizations (PLAS, Japan Habitat Association and Nagasaki University) are conducting sanitation activities in Homabay county in Kenya. Japan Habitat Association presented “Smile Toilet Project -Residents-Centered Toilet Construction-“, PLAS presented “Livelihood Improvement and Career Planning Support for Poor Families with AIDS Orphans”, and Nagasaki University “Sustainable Suicide Disease Control Project” to talk about the progress we have made so far.

More than 50 people participated in the event, and it was a wonderful opportunity to widely share the grassroots projects being implemented in Kenya.
