On Friday, June 10, 2022, Mr. Ken Okaniwa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kenya, visited Nagasaki University Mbita station. Our local coordinator explained to the Ambassador about JICA grassroots Tungiasis project. Ambassador Okaniwa asked questions such as “Can they get pesticides for this disease?” and “What kind of symptoms do they get when they are infected with Tungiasis?”
He also saw other projects in the Nagasaki University Mbita station and encouraged each team.
