ニャチャンシンポジウムの活動概要

マラリアを研究している、あるいは研究をしてはいないが興味を持っている研究者が参加して、サルマラリアに関する調査研究の進展と・課題問題を明らかにして解決を模索した。ベトナムのマラリアコントロールを担っている機関の主要な研究者、地方政府の保健衛生担当者、ラオス国境地域の担当者も出席した。私たちのプロジェクトで早急に明らかにしてゆく課題、カンフー地区のサルマラリア原虫の種類、キャリヤー、コントロール手法、標準的原虫検出手法の樹立など、が明確にされた。調査地域の視察では、Plasmodium cynomologiが検出されたサルや植生、鉱山開発に伴う泥水を観察し、視察場所でもそれぞれに議論が行われた。カンフーマラリアセンターの立地や設備など研究者や学生にとって使いやすいという意見が多く出された。
